D9 sculpture is getting really close! I'm very happy with the spray on stencil effect on the side of his head, I never thought that scratching acrylic paint with a dentist tool would work that well! I do have to improve my coloring, that's something that will come with time hopefully. I am not quite happy with the eyes... they look a little bit dead.. not sure what to do? Dave, Leon... you guys have any suggestions? Thanks!

A bit of an update on the prawn sculpt. I lightened the overall skintone color just a bit, and added a bit of red pigmentation in areas. Next I'll go in with a brush and try to get some more details in. I took these pictures in the morning, the sun was shining right on it, I thougt it looked neat.

I decided to do some sculpture again and I dove right into it trying to make a likeness of the main alien character from "District 9" I think I did a pretty darn good job for a first sculpt after who knows how many years just drawing on paper and tablets. These are all progress pics, I kinda went crazy with the colors in the last one, gotta tone that shit down... I'll be sure to update when the final is done up with eyes and such... I cant wait, the eyes will be a very important part. They are so expressive in the movie. More to come!

My friend Jason decided to start a little blog where we can just draw nonsense every now and then. we decided to start off with 80's related stuff, and I picked critters. its one of those things that terrified me when I was little, but looking back at it now, it is more funny than frightening.
